Attention Brisbane Locals- Upcoming Vintage Events

Just for locals, (sorry everyone else!) here are a few upcoming events that may net you a few new vintage treasures...you never know until you go and look!

Held by the operator of the vintage fashion fair at Eagle Farm, the inaugural Gold coast vintage fashion fair. I'm giving this one a miss due to other commitments, but there will be lots of regular VFF sellers there plus some newbies, AND a massive fashion parade, so this one is looking good!

Another one not to miss, the Brisvegas Kustom Karnival is an all-new event from the promoter of Greazefest. Smaller but in the same vein, it will feature markets (yes we'll be there!), Mimsy tattin' it up in the trailer, heaps of bands (I'll be nicking upstairs to catch the Jim Rockfords for sure), and of course the ever-popular car show.

Again at the Gold Coast, you'd be mad to miss TVM, aka The Village Markets. While there's not much vintage on offer there these days (except for when I'm there!), this is a well-curated market with an enormous amount of stalls selling lots of handmade, upcycled, new and young designer goodies. See the website at www.thevillagemarketsgc.com.au

A local antique/vintage fair you may not know about is Aladdins. Well-established and busy yet poorly advertised, Aladdins, as the name suggests, is a real treasure trove of antique and vintage collectables for young and old. Held 4 times a year at the table tennis hall in Windsor, 86 Green Terrace, on a Sunday 10-2 pm, the next one is on October 28...and yes, I'll be there.

Pretty insightful post. Never believed that it was this simple after all. I had spent a great deal of my time looking for someone to explain this subject clearly and you're the only 1 that ever did that. Kudos to you! Keep it up
